The 7,540 yard par 72 Valhalla Golf Club tested the
field at the 78th and 82nd PGA Championships as well as the 2004 Senior
PGA Championship and will once again be put to task as it hosts this year's
Ryder Cup matches.
The greens at Valhalla are large, however they are undulating and are
well guarded by bunkers, water and grassy hollows placing a premium on
creative shot making and short game. The short par four 13th is the signature
hole featuring a green perched atop huge boulders and surrounded by water.
Although it's the shortest of the par fours, the 13th has proved to be
a real nemesis for players.
